Love One Another
Love is a word we throw around often—we love chocolate, a good movie, or a beautiful sunset. It fills our songs, movies, and conversations. Yet, no love story compares to the one written in blood-stained wood and an empty tomb.
Easter is the celebration of the greatest act of love in history—Jesus Christ’s sacrifice and resurrection. It reminds us that God's love is not just sentimental; it is unconditional, redemptive, and life-changing.
The Ultimate Sacrifice
Jesus' love was not a mere promise; it was a love that took action. When humanity was lost in sin, God did not turn away. Instead, He sent His Son—His only Son—to take our place.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in
him shall not perish but have eternal life." — John 3:16 NIV
Jesus endured betrayal, humiliation, and excruciating pain. He willingly bore the punishment for our sins—not because of who we are, but because of who He is. His sacrifice was not just an act of mercy; it was a divine exchange—His life for ours.
A Love That Conquers Death
Easter is not just about the cross; it is also about the empty tomb. Praise God, the grave could not hold Jesus. On the third day, He rose again, proving that His love is stronger than sin, darkness, and even death itself.
"Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may
die, he shall live.'" — John 11:25 NKJV
Because He lives, we are no longer bound by fear, guilt, or shame. His love sets us free, offering us new life, eternal hope, and a restored relationship with God.
A Love That Transforms Lives
The love of Christ is not just a historical event—it is alive and at work today. His love reaches out to the broken hearted, restores the weary, and calls each of us into a life of purpose. No matter who you are or what you've done, Jesus welcomes you with open arms.
But His love is not meant to stop with us. As recipients of His grace, we are called to reflect His love in the world around us.
Ways to Reflect Christ’s Love This Easter
Easter is not just a celebration; it’s an invitation to live out the love we have received. Here are some ways to do that:
Forgive others – Just as Christ forgave us, we are called to extend grace and mercy. Forgiveness is one of the purest ways to reflect God's love.
Serve those in need – Love is an action. Help individuals in need, comfort the lonely, and ease the pain of those hurting.
Share the Gospel – Many people search for hope. This Easter, don't keep the Good News to yourself.
Live with gratitude – Let your life be a testimony of joy, knowing you are deeply loved and redeemed by God.
Love Won
Easter is the proof that love won. The cross was not the end—it was the beginning of redemption's story. Christ's death and resurrection shows us that love never fails, never gives up, and never ends.
As we celebrate, let us live in the power of His love and share it with the world.
He is risen! He is risen indeed!
Blessings,
Angela
